Super User Fishing Rhino Posted May 12, 2014 Author Super User Posted May 12, 2014 Nope. Give that man his MD Kent Kevorkian! KK. It has a nice ring to it. KK, the Euthanizer. 2 Quote
Super User Marty Posted May 12, 2014 Super User Posted May 12, 2014 He keeps putting Irene to sleep. Yes he does. But on the other hand, "Goodnight Irene" was a #1 hit on the Billboard charts in 1950. So I view him as keeping its memory alive by punctuating locked threads with the title. Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted May 12, 2014 Super User Posted May 12, 2014 Big-O already gave RW a new name at one of the RoadTrips. FLUFFY 1 Quote

Super User roadwarrior Posted May 13, 2014 Super User Posted May 13, 2014 Fishing three to the boat with Big O and Steezy a couple of years ago. I'm casting long distance with a 3/4 oz Red Eye Shad when it happened. Snagged Steezy's rod tip and my reel EXPLODED! Think cotton candy in size XXX. No picking, surgery required. 2 Quote

Super User K_Mac Posted May 13, 2014 Super User Posted May 13, 2014 Good story RW. I had a similar thing happen when a friend gave me a high-end combo filled with new fluorocarbon line to check out. Very embarrassing! Kent I'm not sure that that Fluffy works for you. It just seems a little too soft... Quote
Traveler2586 Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Since he keeps using the name, I think we should give it to him. Irene And yes, Fluffy is way too soft Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted May 13, 2014 Super User Posted May 13, 2014 the original.. I wonder if he ever made it to the doctors? Quote

A similar thing happened at KY Lake. Alpster was at the stern, Ken was in the middle and I was on the bow. Alpster was fiddling around with his bait and the wind caught his line just as Ken made a cast. His bait snagged Alpster's line, and the result was that the point of Ron's hook got driven into his thumb knuckle. Went to the nearest medical clinic and they referred Ron to the hospital. They were not equipped to deal with a hook in bone. I'd rather endure the name "Fluffy". Never a dull moment on the Road Trips. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted May 14, 2014 Super User Posted May 14, 2014 "Fluffy" is what memories are made of, but injuries are another story. We have always been pretty lucky, especially the day Big O took our soldiers out in the Epic Storm at Pickwick. Quote

The Alpster fished with me for the next two days after that, and I'm sure it was because the area between his seat and the motor was the perfect place to duck behind every time I casted! Quote
