ghost bass Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Hey guys, Just created my profile tonight and very new to this site. Unfortunately, I don't have access to a boat so my friend and I do a lot of bank fishing. Moved out to Davie, Florida last year and we are looking for a good hot spot for decent sized largemouth and peacock. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!! Quote
boostr Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Good luck! I don't think anybody is gonna give up their honey hole Quote
Gotfishyfingers? Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 I would start in Weston or Pembroke Pines, there are LMB as well as P's there definitely. A lot of spots to bank hop all through out that area. Most of that area is good regardless where your at. Just be careful where you park, as there is a lot of no parking on the grass out there. As one mentioned before use google map to get familiarized with the area and then go hit up some spots. Most of the fresh water canals down here are not locked, meaning there are underwater pipes (that you might not see) that connect that water systems/ canals to one another one. So if you see a canal across the street from where your fishing, chances are it will hold the same species of fish. Culverts and pipes (that you do see) are great spots for LMB and P's to hang out to. 1 Quote
