Super User geo g Posted May 12, 2014 Super User Posted May 12, 2014 In south Florida we are surrounded by small lakes and canals full of fish of all kinds. I fish at least 5 days a week. One day a week from the boat, usually in the glades. 4 or 5 days a week from the local lakes that are everywhere in my neighborhood. If I drive a 1/4 mile from my house, I have 4 lakes to choose from on any given day. The grass is always cut and trimmed around the lakes like a golf course. This makes for easy fishing. These lakes all have decent size fish in them. I usually choose a different lake each day. When fishing the local lakes its usually 2 or 3 hours in the afternoon. Great to live in South Florida. 2 Quote

Brian6428 Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Wow, you guys fish a lot! During the school year (except for the winter) I fish basically every weekend for 4 hours a trip. During the summer I probably go 3-4 times a week for an average of 2.5 hours a trip (due to heat). Quote
blongfishing Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 I fished everyday except when I was on vacation and holidays. I fished the afternoon of Christmas and I was 2 hours late to my own birthday party at my house because the bite was on. Quote
macmichael Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 I fish as often as possible. Once or twice a week with the bass boat which means a Friday and Saturday or a Saturday and Sunday. 2 to 3 times a week I fish a couple of local ponds. I fished today for 3 hours and caught 3. 2.7 pounds being the largest. Quote
flyingmonkie Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Man... I got really jealous reading everybody's responses. :/ I was there once. I've got a 1 yr old and pregnant wife at home, so my fishing time has taken a nose dive. I get 1-3 hours of bank fishing in each week, and then once a month I take an all-day boat trip. Working on squeezing in another boat trip. Not near enough, but family first. I don't want time to fly TOO fast, but I do look forward to MUCH more time on the water. Quote
PondHopper96 Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Every chance I get! Probably 4-5 times a week! In winter though, maybe once very 3-4 weeks! Quote
Hattrick7 Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 I usually fish every day. I live walking distance to my local lake. Fishing time varies though from 45 minutes to a 3-4 hours depending on what lake I'm fishing that day. Quote
InfamousBG Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Now that spring is here in New England I should be every weekend. Quote
Chris9999 Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 I fish maybe every other weekend. Some times I get lucky and I can do a few in a row. Last summer it was about twice a week but this time it wont be nearly as much as id like. Trips generally can run anywhere from an hour to 4. This weekend though it will pretty much be nonstop from Friday-Sunday. Quote
