My first quality bass setup. Rod arrived today, reel a few days ago. I didn't waste any time checking it out. Casts like a dream! Farther and smoother than anything I've ever thrown. post-48125-0-24052500-1399779805_thumb.jpost-48125-0-88808800-1399779805_thumb.j

Nice setup, I've been thinking about pulling the trigger on one of those curados myself

Good looking outfit man, I think you'll really enjoy it for many years. I'm planning to pick up a new Curado I just as soon as they're available.

Edit: By "they're" I of course mean the lefties.

Nice setup, I also have the 5.5 Curado and its got super smooth cranking power. I could feel a huge difference vs a 6:4 ratio Revo SX when reeling in a big double willow spinnerbait. The Revo labored and tired out my forearms but the Curado I could barely feel the blades turning :)

Is that bc of the gear ratio?

That's a nice combo. I own both the rod and reel, but they are not paired together. Enjoy!! The new Curado's are something else.

So

Probably that, the x ship, and the smaller teeth on the gear.

So you think XShip isn't so good?

No, he was saying that the X-Ship aided the smoothness of the retrieve.
