I notice everyone talking about Megastrike scent and Cavitron buzzbaits but nobody talking about the jigs. Is anyone using these? I like the idea of a fluorocarbon weed guard. Thanks

They're not worth $5 a pop, but they're alright around sand, rocks and wood, or anywhere you would generally fish a football jig.  Just like the pigskin, the shape of the head doesn't allow them to pass thru the weeds very well.

I agree bassthumb, I use them and really like them,  but they are too pricey or I would buy them alot more.  I havn't fished them in awhile but I don't think the skirts are hand tied either.

I like them on a couple lakes we fish, they're great for hopping down rock/chunk rock points.  They hang less than a football.  Get in weeds, though, and they're pretty bad about coming through.

I would love to get some, but where I fish it would get fouled by weeds before it even got to the bottom.

They are my favorite jigs to flip with, and my partner pours his own... I have won quite a bit of money flipping a 1/2 ounce rusty craw and halloween colors. Definatly pricey tho.

I don't think the Megastrike jigs are made of Tungsten. I believe the non-lead jigs are made from tin.

Yeah I don't think they are tungsten. That would be a good selling point but it is not mentioned.

Yes, but the question isn't about Keitech jigs.

Not all lead free jigs are made from tungsten, unless you want all your jigs made in china tungsten ain't the answer. They are usually tun, bismuth or some mixture of tin and bismuth, I don't know what the evo jigs are made from but its probably one of the 3.

Another possibility might be brass. Bismuth and Brass are pretty close in terms of density from what I remember.
