Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted May 9, 2014 Super User Posted May 9, 2014 They are the foulest, nastiest creations on God's green earth. My hate for them usurps most everything. I smacked at a gloating roach a few minutes ago on my deck. Apparently I have smart ass roaches living in these apartments. Anyway. I had made an effort to gush the nasty thing, and missed. Dang thing ran up the column and stuck its butt out in the air at me. Well I ain't taking no sass from an insect. I drew back the mighty size 15 shoe that smites. Swung like a champ and splattered the disgusting creature. There is a 1/4 inch gap between the three support beams that meet another support in the corner, where I had just hit. I swear 9 ******* roaches fell out. Two of them mounted a counter attack on me. It was a I could do to avoid being hit by them. After a bellow of a war cry (me screaming like a girl). I launched a massive retaliatory strike of my own. Now armed with two shoes, I brought hell to them. Four of them dropped through the boards to the porch below. One was straight up gorilla stomped. 2 were splattered on a corner of the post. A final made to flee. It was wasted effort on his part. He disentigrated under The Shoe That Smites. Now I'm sitting out here and I'm all jumpy. The nasty things ruined my night. Tomorrow I break out the diatomacious earth and go to town. I will also be bringing a can of WD40 and a lighter out for tomorrow night. This junk just got real..... Quote

Super User Raul Posted May 9, 2014 Super User Posted May 9, 2014 I'm with you, I also hate the dang things, Hootie posted about knowing when spring arrives, well, we down here know it's Spring because those damned animals suddenly appear out of nowhere, a couple of wheeks ago I purchased a product made by Bayer that comes in a syringe and you place a few drops here, a few there in between gaps and apparently it works, doesn't mean it dissapears them but it has reduced the numbers I've been able to find at night quite noticeably. I used to kill a couple every night and now I may find one every two or three days. They make my wife very unhappy, specially because we keep the house spotless and religiously clean. 1 Quote

Super User Fishing Rhino Posted May 9, 2014 Super User Posted May 9, 2014 Hey Raider, look at the bright side. You could be living in an apartment that the roaches left a long time ago. At least they still find the place habitable. Quote

I'm sure some are crawling around in the walls. However that's pretty much any and everywhere. Quote
