They are the hanginest stinking crank known to man.  Even the Lucky Craft BDS comes through better than the Square A.

Disagree, I think they come through fine, you have to walk them through slowly but I have always had fantastic luck with square a's,  I like the rc series but for the price I think the square a is pretty hard to beat!

i agree with river rat.....

i use these bomber square a's 90% of the time and have success all the time........they do hang up quite often but if you work them slowly, when needed.......they work just fine.....

just takes a little getting used to

Seriously?  I'm doing something wrong, then.  I cannot fish a square A without being constantly fouled.  In wood, I have lost at least a dozen baits, at a minimum it's a dozen.  I've tried everything, slow rolling them did no good, running just to the point they'd almost roll out would hang them.  I fish them on rip-rap that's about it, anymore.

How are you working them so they don't get hung?

You have to "walk" them through the wood, when you feel it bounce off something pause for a second and let it recover, and slowly walk it by, most of my hits come as you pause for a second anyway. The beauty in my eye is that they catch fish and they are cheap as all get out, I have never paid more than sale price for them, so I stock up and if I loose one I am not as mad as if I loose a RC

What rod are you cranking with?

Sales already going Dan, I just ordered some and threw in some KVD square bills to try also since they are also on sale and I haven't seen them in stock locally.

I'm either on a St Croix LTB Small Cranker, a Loomis Crankbait, or a St Croix Avid Crankbait 6'6" M/Mod.  Most of the time I will fish shallow square bills on the Avid.

Been using Square A's for several years and they are my most productive crankbait. Especially in Oxbow Bream color scheme.

Never been hung up, but then I tend to shy away from the weeds when using cranks and just work the edges.

Gander Mountain has a bin full of them on sale for $2.99.

Are the square A's you all are talking about the ones that go 0-3 feet on the dive? I picked up a few of them but haven't tried em out yet.

I'll have to try the square a. I've been a long time user of Bomber 6a and 7a for years, we use to wear them out on a 6a brown craw, and the last few years its been a 6a or 7a redfire craw. I've got a ton of cranks, imported, custom, and regular, but this color of Bomber just flat wears them out locally for us. We nicknamed it " Cadillac"  ;D

Well, sounds like you have that end of it covered lol...
