Super User new2BC4bass Posted May 7, 2014 Super User Posted May 7, 2014 Go to ohya and look at the Quantum Tour Edition PT. There are 4 models ranging from a 7'4" Heavy Flippin to a 7'11" Heavy (is also a 7'6" and 7'9" Heavy). These are some pretty decent rods. $200 MSRP on sale for $118. I have the 6'10" Heavy in both the Superlite and Tour Edition. Very nice rods for the money. Are good rods at MSRP. Quote

Super User WRB Posted May 8, 2014 Super User Posted May 8, 2014 Take a look at 7'4" to 7'6" med/hvy pitching-light flipping rods, St. Croix, Dobyn's, Phenix all make good rods for this presentation that can also be used for frogs. Don't know what you budget is, check rods in your price range. Tom 1 Quote
Arv Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 How heavy are we talking? TW still has the Cumara rep rods. Otherwise, I would check out the rods that WRB mentioned, as well as the Powell Max/Endurance line up which can be had at fish ranger for around 150 Quote

einscodek Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Everyones askin the same question and I've posted this several times: If its about pullin fish outa the water and not so much impressin yer fellow fisherman with yer goods nor breakin the bank.. I mostly use an IM6 Daiwa Aird/Jupiter telescopic flippin stick when bank fishin 7'6' 2-piece telescopic means I can carry it around the bank easily. IM6 means its light and wont wear me out 7'6 gives me great casting distance from the bank Lets me spinnerbait, worm, reach some flips from shore, froggin, swimbait.. great overall. Didnt break the bank either.. $45 sportsmanguide right now I've pulled lotsa big fish outa heavy cover frm the shore with this. Read the reviews on TW if u want Quote
Super User *Hootie Posted May 8, 2014 Super User Posted May 8, 2014 Awe C'mon!!... If I can't impress everyone, I might just as well take up bowling... yuck!...lol. Hootie Quote
bassmaster8100 Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 I recently made the switch on my flipping rod to a Denali Kovert 7'8" Extra Heavy Fast. One of the best rods I've ever fished with, highly recommend it. Quote
