JKarbo214 Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 I have seen a few different options but was wondering what the most effective Chartreuse Spinnerbait with Chartreuse painted blades is on the market? Quote
Super User Hammer 4 Posted March 15, 2011 Super User Posted March 15, 2011 I've tried colored blades, white trout colors, chartreuse, ect...seems the bass around here only like gold willow blades..lol That's not to say you can't catch fish on colored blades, best to buy one and try it. Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted March 15, 2011 Super User Posted March 15, 2011 The only painted blades I have are Stanley Wedge. I don't even know if you can get them painted anymore, these are from 1992 at the "World's Fishing Fair" in Springfield. I remember meeting Guido Hibdon and Dion Hibdon, and Shaw Grigsby there, that's the only reason I remember where I got them... Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted March 15, 2011 Super User Posted March 15, 2011 Smallmouth bass catching machine. I use the Strike King 3/16 oz. in that color for smallies. If you can't find that combo, make it yourself with a number 2 1/2 and number 3 blade. Use a trailer hook in #4 treble. Hold your rod tightly so the smallmouth won't take it from you. Quote
JKarbo214 Posted March 16, 2011 Author Posted March 16, 2011 I was looking at some of the Strike King spinnerbaits but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. I did think the Nichols Pulsator spinnerbait with the Chartreuse blades looked pretty good. Any other suggestions? Quote
Super User CWB Posted March 16, 2011 Super User Posted March 16, 2011 I've been eyeing these: http://www.***.com/Strike_King_Tour_Grade_Painted_Blade_Spinnerbait/descpage-SKTGPB.html Here are some double Chartreuse: http://www.***.com/Strike_King_38_Special_DBL_Willow_Spinnerbait/descpage-38S.html#multiview Quote
Super User Fishes in trees Posted March 16, 2011 Super User Posted March 16, 2011 Chompers (Table Rock Tackle) markets some painted blade spinnerbaits. Every few years or so this is a hot bait on Truman Lake. It is a good heavy stained/muddy water bait. You can get them painted on both sides or half - half , brass on the outside of the blade and painted on the inside cup of the blade. It occurs to me that War Eagle markets some painted blade spinnebaits also. Quote
Super User Hammer 4 Posted March 16, 2011 Super User Posted March 16, 2011 Northland makes em with painted blades too. Quote
