Alright so I'll admit, I don't do much jig fishing except for a football jig here and there. But I've heard nothing but good things about it and want to try it this summer in MN. My thought for a setup was a 7'1" Medium Heavy with a Lew's BB1HZ and some sort of sunline (favorite braid). I'm planning on ordering some jigs from Siebert outdoors soon, and I was wondering which ones yall would recommend. And any tips on how to fish them, where, when, etc would be much appreciated. And my apologies if this has been asked before, I couldn't find much on it other than how great jigs are and what colors people preferred. Thanks

If it wasn't for Mike I'd have almost no fish this year so far. To be honest I knew little about jig fishing I just asked this same question before I ordered. If you look up my post there is a ton of good advice from other members there and you can see what I ordered.

If you look at the Spinnerbait I got I would highly reccomend adding a few of those as well. It's been my number one weapon this year.

I've been using a 1/2 oz Arky jig for a few weeks and I think it's one of the most versatile jigs I've used. Short drags and hops with short pauses work for me. Work it all the way back to boat.. Good luck.

Go to the fishing tackle forum where this thread will be moved and look at the top pinned thread, Jig fishing questions, should keep you busy for awhile.
