I have done that. Not near as many as lake insight. Just want to be sure lake insight has more lakes but does it show them I hi Def? Or is only depths? Just wanted to see if I could get some good answers on here

I've done a lot of travel in central Illinois and was told Navionics offers the best detail. I'm a Lowrance guy all the way when it comes to the units themselves but mapping, Navionics offers me more detail and in most all cases, more maps.

I believe Navionics is the only map company that allows the public to view their maps before buying. Remember, hundreds of new maps have come out with the introduction to Navionics SonarCharts. When viewing a lake on the WebApp be sure to zoom in and click the small circular button on the bottom left hand corner of the map. Thus button signifies SonarCharts maps when highlighted blue.

Go with navionics. Most my friends use it and dont have any problems with it.

I have both.

navionics is what I prefer- most insight does not have all that much detail and it works, just not how I need it to.

I do have it on the bow of an elite 7

I have both chips the lake insight chip and the Navionics Charts and I rarely use my insight chip much anymore with all the new data being uploaded by sonarlogs.  I know there are many more people using the Navionics SonarLogs than the Lowrance Insight Genesis.
