Years ago my father and I had been fishing for about 4 hours on a small electric only lake and had not caught one single fish. Finally we gave up and headed for the dock. Half way there, a 3.5 pound bass jumps directly into our boat. Only fish we caught that day, the problem was no one could agree on who "caught" the fish

i say the driver of the boat gets the credit!

I took two of my great uncles out northern fishing once. One of them was taking a break and sitting behind the console just watching. I was telling them how we always seem to catch one in this opening we were pulling into and about 10 seconds later I pulled my bait out of the water and a northern launched up after it. It slapped into the windshield and onto the deck of the boat. My great uncle got an up close and personal view.

My little brother and I were trout fishing, drifting salmon eggs in a deep pool, when we both set the hook at the same time. I told him to quit reeling in and let me land the fish because he was tangled in my line, but he was telling me the same thing. Landed the fish and saw that both hooks were in his mouth, hungry trout!

Wadding out on some flats in the keys. A giant baracuda decided to start going after me for some reason. Was probably 6ft long. Ended up finding a patch grass and we went back and forth around it for a good minute. The whole time im just mumbling all around the mulberry bush.

I came to the conclusion he was chasing the silver emblem on my sandles and I ditched them. Then ran on water back to shore.

This is a true story that happened at a weeknight tournament in Michigan in the mid 80 ties...

My partner and I was a fishing a channel and we had about a half hour before weigh in and we had a nice sack already in the live well....

I then look up the channel and ask my partner "what is that swimming around in circles" He say's it looks like a dog with a sack on his head.......So we blast up on high using the trolling motor and sure enough it is a yellow lab with a Puppy Chow bag over its head and it is just giving up and starting to sink....It was a eating out of the bag we figured.

My partner grabs the dog and we throw it up on the front deck and start a hollering for help ....Someone then comes out of the house while my partner is trying to revive the dog as it eyes are rolled back into it's head...

All of a sudden the dog spits up and it starts to breath and we tell  them we are a fishing the local tournament on the lake and we have to get a going so we can weigh our fish in at 9 .......They say thanks and we tell them we hope everything goes ok with the dog...

This tournament was held at the bar on the lake and they got a call a few days later wanting to thank the bass fisherman that saved their dog....

So after that we were called "The Dog Savers" by the other fisherman and thanked by some locals that well did not like a bass tournament on their lake....

So we saved a really cool little yellow lab and gave us tournament fisherman a better name...
