tnbassfisher Posted December 7, 2011 Author Posted December 7, 2011 Could we bring back this thread to help cure the upcoming cabin fever season? Quote
Super User Goose52 Posted December 7, 2011 Super User Posted December 7, 2011 It's snowing here today and I'm taking the day off from fishing so I guess I'll play! I showed my stuff earlier in this thread (starting at post 53) - the photo below shows most of it now stored in the "tackle corner" that I set up a few months ago. There's more plastics and hard baits stored in tubs and trays out of the photo. The 3600 boxes in the photo are my "working" supply of baits and are what I take fishing. As far as "restocking the tacklebox" goes - I've been scooping up lots of pretty good deals - YUM plastics for $1.89 bag, Strike King and XCalibur lipless cranks for $2.99 and some other stuff. I'm ALWAYS open to grabbing good deals as they come along...but all I think I NEED before the start of next season is some flouro line... Quote

So is Goose Pro Shops in TN only or are there branches nationwide? Quote
Super User Goose52 Posted December 7, 2011 Super User Posted December 7, 2011 Ha - I'm a little minnow when it comes to tackle compared to many of the folks on this board! Quote
flippin and pitchin Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 How in the world can you Goose, justify spending that kind of money on such an extravegance as ped board ? Quote
Super User Goose52 Posted December 7, 2011 Super User Posted December 7, 2011 Yeah - go figure. My excuse is that I used to have tools on that pegboard... Quote

Super User deep Posted December 8, 2011 Super User Posted December 8, 2011 LOL Goose, if you're a minnow, I don't know what I am. I got less than 25 hardbaits/ spinnerbaits/ buzzbait etc combined. I got a few jigs though, mostly off the dollar bin. Jigs and swimbaits are all I fish anyway. Plastics; I only buy them a couple of packs a time. Same for jigs; when I'm about to run out of them. Allow me to show off a couple of baits I got today. I'm VERY proud to own these. Matt Servant's single joint wake albino bluegill on top. 8" ROF5 limited edition tiger trout hudd deluxe- signed and numbered by Ken Huddleston himself- on bottom. Quote

1234567 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 i don't think I could throw that signed hudd! Mattlures new single jointed billed hardgill looks killer. I've waited along time for this one!!! Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted December 8, 2011 Global Moderator Posted December 8, 2011 Don't have any pics but I got a great deal on some baits from BPS last weekend. Rick Clunn LC baits were on sale for 9.97, plus my wife works there so I got a discount on top of that. I bought 6 squarebills and one DD, some skirt material for tying jigs, and an Excalibur Erratic shad for $80. It's a good thing I had Christmas shopping to do or there might not have been any of the 1.5 size left Quote
Super User Goose52 Posted December 8, 2011 Super User Posted December 8, 2011 And where did u buy yum for 1.89? Keep an eye on the internet specials at lurenet.com. That's also where I got the XCalibur lipless cranks for $2.99... Quote
tnbassfisher Posted December 8, 2011 Author Posted December 8, 2011 And where did u buy yum for 1.89? In reality, Wal-Mart had a bunch of Dingers and a few other Yum products on sale for that price. Looked like they had been a little picked over at mine. Weren't many good colors left when I went through them. Quote

However, they were packages of (for instance) six Dingers...instead of the 15-packs (4") or 12-packs (5") Dingers I got from Lurenet. Gotta read the quantities! Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted December 8, 2011 Super User Posted December 8, 2011 I use a limited number of lures, spoons etc for fresh and saltwater, when I lose something I just fill in. No carries DOA 5 1/s jerk shads around here so I do order them right from DOA. My favorite jerkbait is no longer being made, I've caught more bass on it than any other, not even a close contest. I have 2 left and I'm ticked...........and it only cost $2.99. The word I inserted was a bit more graphic than ticked..........lol Quote
