Hey Everybody,
Just curious to what everyone's favorite lure is? the one that almost never sits in your tackle box because it is your go to lure.

Mine is a 3/8 booyah pond magic spinner in pumpkin colors, Ive caught more fish on it than anything else.

how bout you guys?

We just had a thread like this one, I think it was more great toward our secret weapon lures. Anyways I would say my favorite lure is the one I am catching fish on! lately it has been a copper shad crank bait from academy's h20 line. But just lost that one so now I would say it my new strike king spinnerbait. White and green skirt with a long white tail portion of the skirt that extends out like a trailer would. For blades it has large willow and a small Colorado blade, both are silver in color.

Wanted to attach a picture of it but the file is too big to work I guess. Not sure how to shrink down the file size on my phone.

My favorite fish catching lures is all of them. I find that sooner or later they all catch fish.

1. BPS TOPNOCKER in chartreuse #25

2. Bomber crankbaits. Fat A, model A, shallow A in redapplecraw, dark green craw, baby bass orange bottom, citrus, shad, etc.

3. Mann's classic 1/4oz spinner bait blue glimmer Colorado blade.

4. Mann's classic 1/4oz spinner bait chartreuse colors of blade.

5. Rapala original floating minnow f7 in blue or black.

6. Mepps Anglia inline spinner #3

7. Mepps XD 3 silver,white bucktail.

8. Strike king inline silver black bucktail.

9. Rebel BIG CLAW crawfish crank. Dives to 10'

10. C-rig senko

11. C-rig brushog

12. Split shot rig 6" worm black, purple, red or black shad.

Pick one I use more than this. I figure out the pattern the fish want with the presentation that is skill that turns into success. Don't forget the bass scents.

Never limit yourself to one lure. Try one then another and repeat till you get action. It's fun. Learn your presentations so there picture Oscar winning perfect. The more you do increases our skills, and that catches more bass.

To me the most important thing is matching the lure color to the light and water conditions.

I have caught more fish on a 1/4 oz chartreuse white Booyah Spinnerbait than probably any other bait, other than maybe baby brush hogs... So i would say those two are the most productive lures for me.

IF I get to pick the season, I may have to choose any Lipless crankbait like a Rat l trap in pre spawn or Fall, really anytime I can throw it and get it to come through grass that is not to thick.

End of the day, I could leave my house, head to the lake with a Junebug Trick Worm, worm weight maybe, and I would feel ok, a few shakey heads or darter jig heads would help out also....

Really, a Jig always will work some where some how, plastic worm and a finesse worm is safest bet in my opinion and I never strike out on a purple, black, motor oil, pumpkin color, Spinnerbait is a fun day, buzz bait is way to hit or miss, chatterbait or johnson silver minnow would be lures that I am confident would work if had to pick one. A jig or bladed jig can be cranked, fished like a rattle trap, flipped, yo yo ripping in deep water, steady slow roll under surface in evening, so I guess Jig can catch fish any depth, and in cover.....Plus cast them a mile, a worm can be tough if deep and windy...I am just thinking out loud, I have been trying to sell lures and clean out the hundreds of cranks I never use and love to buy for some reason. Looks awesome, but they are all pretty as I rarely open the box except to grab a wake bait, not a crank imo.

So tough to say. If I had to have one lure for all conditions, I would choose a spinnerbait, albeit slightly and reluctantly over a jig. If the water is fairly clear though, I love soft jerkbaits and stickbaits.

I have muliple...but it is usually the one with a bass latched onto it!

You will almost always however find a jig, beaver, sammy, and a jerkbait on my deck

There´s a difference between my favorite lure and my most productive ones, my favorite lure is the Jitterbug, which is not my most productive one. My most productive ones are:

3/8 oz single Tennessee gold blade white & chartreuse Strike King spinnerbait

1/2 Bill Lewis Rat L-Trap Tenn. shad

Storm Wiggle Wart WW5 chartreuse shad

Rapala Shad Rap SR7 SD

Megabass Bait X

Trickworm

3/8 oz black jig w/ different trailers.

Wow, I am pretty happy to see how many people jumped on this

Keep em coming, also where do you guys fish,
I fish the ponds in lower NJ so they are usually not deep and very weedy, so I try to avoid anything with treble hooks.

Honestly, Id have to say my all time favorite lure would have to be a jig matched with a rage craw/chunk. I have a few confidence baits that I love to throw and have em tied on a good bit of the time, but ALWAYS have a jig tied on.

My favorite lure would have to be an Arashi 5 squarebill by Storm in Hot blue Shad color.

i do my best with rage tail menace rigged many ways

my fav. lure is the zara spook jr. in clear color

My favorite lure is the one I use the most. A bucktail jig will catch me any predatory fish 12 months of the year in both fresh and saltwater.

1. 1/4 humdinger spinnerbait white/chart./blue

2. Zoom baby brush hog junebug or red bug

3. Bandit square bill mistake color

4. Kvd 1.5 in either summer craw or neon blue gill

5. Ribbit frog watermelon red with a pearl bottom

Probably my top 5 go to lures
