I always night fish in the summer with black buzz baits. I mainly used Strike Kings Bleeding Buzz Bait but I will buy me some Cavitrons after reading this. I catch a lot of Catfish while bass fishing at night. It really ticks me off. I can't really see much and all I hear is a huge splash. My heart gets pumpin on the strike and then I get disappointed once I find out its another cat. I usually catch them in the 5-10lb range and they do fight. I got to where if I get a huge strike at night I will tell myself "probably another catfish" just to ease the disappointment. They also like them some black jitterbugs at night.

I just got cavitrons on a ebay bid at the end of last years fishing season i changed the skirts one to a bluegill and caught a few but this was when the buzz bait bite was dead on our lake late in the season. I also made a sexy shad chartruese color as well looks sweet but havent tried it yet. Ive had my best buzzbait fish last year on a bleeding chartreuse and white clacker 3.8lb smally.

Nothing like a good ole' 1/2 black cavitron IMO.

Cavitron dosnnt come in a 1/2oz. I believe you meant 3/8 oz. But you were correct on the black on black and that Cavitron are the best

They used to, I have two that I bought in '09.

Oh, and Ghost Minnow with Red Blade and Gold Blade with White/Chart skirt.

another vote for Cavitron, most of my buzzbait bass was caught on 3/8 Ghost minnow with gold blade.
