EvanT123 Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Finished my second rod this weekend. Sc3 69mlxf. Went with a tennessee grip again. Fuji alconite reduction guides and tip with recoil running guides. Man this thing is light. With the reel 1000 symetre fl 6.5oz the whole thing comes in around 10oz. I definetly need to practice my wraps for a few days before the final go round. I didn't do that this time but they came out alright. Anyways I plan on using this rod for dropshot, jerkbaits, grubs and topwater. Thanks for looking. 1 Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 That's a sweet blank. Mixing and matching the guides is a good way to save some money and still save weight in the critical tip section. One suggestion: If you go with a Tennessee handle maybe leave it just a little longer in case you change reels and want to move it around. Quote
EvanT123 Posted May 1, 2014 Author Posted May 1, 2014 Thanks Darren. Mike THanks for the tip and the help as always. Quote
Super User S Hovanec Posted May 2, 2014 Super User Posted May 2, 2014 Fantastic blank! My favorite rod is a 5s69MLXF with a split Tennessee grip like that. 1 Quote
