I remember reading about the Fenwicks being had for $100. Can anyone tell me where? I'm looking for the 2 piece casting and the only place I can find them is fishusa for 130.

They were on Amazon for that price a while ago. Cabelas had them for that price a year or so ago too.

fishusa had them at that price a couple months ago.  Stayed at that price long enough that I thought it was their normal price, so I waited for my SS checks to start arriving before ordering a couple more.  Price had gone back up to MSRP by then.  I am waiting for them to go back down to the $100 mark so I can buy at least 2 more.  I bought my first 2 at $71 shipped.  Don't ever expect to see that price again unless the price should drop that far when they closeout the current models.

A local Scheels had the rods marked down to $69 and $79. I purchased two at the time. They haven't carried them since.

Wait for Memorial day sales and also, if you don't mind the wait, after ICAST. Every year new lines are brought out and tackle dealers discount old stock to bring in new stuff. I would keep my eye on amazon, and Fish USA tackle, I got one of my 6'10" MH-MF casting rods from amazon for $77.49 with free shipping but that was over 2 years ago. Stay patient, the price will drop.

I think its called Reeds, i got mine for $95 if i remember correctly.

I checked.  Reeds doesn't list the Smallmouth series.  The Aetos rods are listed at MSRP.  We just have to wait for the next big sale.
