I was wondering what paint to use to paint my already painted cheap crankbait a diffrent color. PLEASE HELP ME ON THIS SUBJECT BY PUTTING DOWN ALL THE REPLIES POSSIBLE:) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I understand correctly, I would take opaque white cover it up and just start painting what you want. You can also take some sandpaper scrap the paint off and then go back with you're base white and start the scheme you are looking for.

I been using the model car lacquer rattle cans from an online model supply house. I purchased the clear lacquer coating as well as the metal flake lacquer. I'm still practicing mixing and blending.

I have a complete air brush outfit but I'm not ready to graduate yet.

Well, there are a bunch of possibilities.  If you want quick and dirty, buy some white spray paint, cover the old paint with it, then get a couple of cans to shoot your colors, followed by a clearcoat of the same brand.  You don't want to mix brands because some paints will not work with some others.  Lacquer/urethane/enamel

 

I've also seen some nice patterns painted with a brush.  Most guys who do many baits use an airbrush.
