But i am interested in suggestions for whats the best brand line to put on them and LB. And what lures should i rig them with obejectivly i want a (cranker rod) (jig rod) (top water rod/ heavy cranker) (jerk bait rod) and (Frog pole) Then my finesse rod will be my spinning rod.. wnybassman Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 I think you need to have a 7' MH/F in that line-up, the most often used rod I have. I have, and carry, 6 in that length/action. lol Quote
Mccallister25 Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 I agree with bassman. I have two 7' MH/F i use as a jig rod, and a worm rod. Quote
ShimanoDobynsGuy Posted April 28, 2014 Author Posted April 28, 2014 Sorry i guys i made a typo the 7.1 rods are both MH Fast action. If it was you what line and how would you rig them? Quote
Mccallister25 Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Both of mine have 14# mono on them. Like I said I use mine as a worm/jig rod. I also have another MH/F I use for spinnerbaits/buzzbaits/frogs/chatterbaits etc. Quote
Super User Montanaro Posted April 29, 2014 Super User Posted April 29, 2014 You should be using the revo rocket for punching or pitching. The mh should be for jigs and weighted Texas rigs. Use the ml spinning for dropshot and shake heads Quote

My 7' MH/F's are mostly rigged with 17lb flouro (my brand is not important lol) and serve as my jig/T-rig/bladebait/lipless crank/spoon/bubba-shot/spinnerbait/spider grub/swim jig/hard swimbait rods. I do have one rigged up with 50 braid and that is my chatterbait rod. Quote

ShimanoDobynsGuy Posted April 29, 2014 Author Posted April 29, 2014 What do you guys think about my mix of reals as far as gear ratio am I on track what should I my nest purchase be? 5.1 6.1 7.1 or another 9.1? f anyone else has recommendations by all means speak up.. I'm always open to suggestions don't take offense to responses I may get. I know I'm green around the edges and eager to learn. Some day will have enough knowledge to contribute advice to the community as well. Thanks Jeramy Quote
tholmes Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 7' M - Lipless/Squarebill I agree. It may just be my personal preference, but I like a Med. power / Med. fast rod for squarebills, and shallow to medium depth crankbaits. Tom Quote
