Creekcrappie Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 I found these 3 bank fishing, within the past year sitting in the mud and hung on stumps and rocks. I took them home, cleaned them up, and took the old hooks off them. The first one is a dt6 but I can't find the color on rapala's website. The other two look like a japanese crank to me. Edit: sorry for the sideways pics. I can't figure out how to flip them. Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted April 27, 2014 Super User Posted April 27, 2014 They look like Normans to me. At least the bills do. I'm not sure though. Quote
Blues19 Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 I dont know, but I would be trying the similar ones out. Apparently that is a good color out there Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted April 27, 2014 Super User Posted April 27, 2014 They look like Normans to me too. Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted April 27, 2014 Super User Posted April 27, 2014 The one on left is a Rapala DT. Looks like the DT-6. Not sure about the other 2. Quote
Jay Ell Gee Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 The one on the bottom is a Norman Thin'N. the one above it looks like a smaller version that I have never seen. Definitely Normans. Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted April 27, 2014 Super User Posted April 27, 2014 From left to right.....Rapala DT 6 in Chart. Purple Shiner....it's a discontinued color, Norman Mad N, and Norman Thin N....IDK what that color is though, it's not on the norman site. Could also be a discontinued color. 3 Quote

bassh8er Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 The color looks like, "Slick" but I may be a little off there. Quote
papajoe222 Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Last season was my first throwing the Mad N and I gotta tell you, they have the best stock hooks I've come accross on a bait in that price range EVER. Talk about sticky sharp, I had trouble tying one on without the hooks catching on my fingers. Oh, did I mention, the fish at my local lake hammered them. With the success I had I figured the Thin N would be a great spring bait and I was right on the money. I've already boated over 20 keepers with that bait in the few times I've been out. I like a bouyant bait when I'm fishing timber and Norman makes some darn good ones. Quote
frantzracing0 Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 the left one is def a rapala dt series, possibly a dt-fat Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted April 29, 2014 Super User Posted April 29, 2014 Geez guys, he knows what the far left one is. He said so in his original post. Quote

And the wrong ones are oh so wrong. I stopped trying... Quote
boostr Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 You know, the one that floats with the color and the plastic lip. Quote
hookset on 3 Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Creek Crappie, it says in your avatar that you like fishing topwaters. For what it's worth, try slowly reeling those two Normans baits and they behave just like a Wakebait. I use mine on the surface sometimes if the fish will hit them like that. Good score! Quote
