I have began making jig heads and now wanting to start selling. Can someone put on the trail of a good hook supplier. Mostly interested in the 60 degree flat eyed mustard hook for do it molds. I can purchase this book for around 17 cents a piece easily off eBay. But to make profit I need it cheaper. So I'm wondering about this company called Alibaba. Do u have to have a wholesale licence to order from them?  And I guess a business license. Any advice or tips would be appreciated. Also the hook they have listed don't say mustard. But looks just like it

Get Your hooks from Shorty's or Captain Hooks, both of them are the same company. They are in MO. As far as powder paint goes I try not to use Pro-Tec as it is very expensive. I have never used Eastwoods powder paint but I can't see why it wouldn't work.

You have a PM.

If you have a tax id you can buy from Shorty's if not then you need to order from Captain Hooks.

If you are looking for 60 degree flat eye Mustad, the cost for a box of 1000 is approx.. $104.00 for a 4/0 hook. You will also have to have your tax number + you will have to pay shipping. If that price is too high than consider the Mustad counterpart Eagle Claw. Excellent hooks as well. If the Eagle Claws are too high in cost, than your on your own to find better hook pricing, because we've all been down this road and these are the only places where you will find bulk hooks at a really good price.

If you go to Captain Hooks discount Warehouse, you can get the Eagle Claw L2798BP for less than 11 cents if you buy 1000. That isn't the ordinary Eagle Claw, it is the laser sharp black platinum hook which I began using 2 years ago as they cost less and are actually better than the Mustads and they make just about all the styles for Do-it Molds. Now, shipping on that will be a little bit but it will only push the price to 13 cents, if that, I didn't calculate it but I based it off my last hook order. You aren't going to get any cheaper than that without a tax I.D. number.
