Super User N Florida Mike Posted January 10, 2023 Super User Posted January 10, 2023 When we fish in my good friends boat , we listen to bluegrass ( which is mostly what we listen to all the time)…and his wife just gave him some kind of blue tooth hookup for his boat complete with speakers. This was the first one we heard when we were out last week … 1 Quote
Super User geo g Posted January 10, 2023 Super User Posted January 10, 2023 I love fishing, and do it for relaxation. As a old time drummer, I also love music, just as much. Pandora will often be on in my boat, but never loud enough to both others, or the wildlife. People don't always enjoy the music you do, so never infringe on their opportunity to enjoy the outdoor experience. 3 1 Quote
Johnbt Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 No music in the boat. No tv in the boat. I enjoy the peace and quiet and the sounds of the wind and the water lapping. 4 1 Quote

I had to change the channel because the sound drove me crazy but they did catch a smallie and a hybrid while he was beating the boat haha (Even if it's the most effective tactic in the universe) imagine if that became popular and everyone was beating the bottom of their boats all day with a broomstick to make the fish bite. Maybe there will be a market for a device to mount to the floor that you beat to make the fish bite. You'd probably need a quiver of different broomsticks to go with it and a locker to put them in. Then the wake boats would need more powerful powerful stereos so they could be heard over the racket of those darn dirty anglers beating the bottom of their boats with broomsticks. 1 Quote

btoups Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 I enjoy the sounds of nature while I'm fishing and for that reason I don't have a radio or speakers in my boat. My son has a portable speaker and uses his phone to play music when he takes his friends with him in the boat. I don't have anything against anyone playing music when fishing, but I do wish some were more courteous and not blast it so loud that the entire lake can hear it. I guess I'm getting old. lol 2 Quote
