Which 6:4 Ratio Reel Would You Invest In?

I am going to crankbait, jerkbait, shad rap on this new reel and I am going to put 10 or 12 # fluorocarbon on it. The plan is to get a reel around the $200 retail range cheaper on the "auction site". I have researched some and would love some opinions on these reels:

1) Lews tournament pro speed spool $148 (leaning toward this one)

2)Lews tournament MG speed spool $104 or 129 (retail)

3) Abu Garcia Revo Stx $153

4) Pflueger supreme XT $135

6) Johnny morris signature series $160

Just un-boxed my Tournament Pro. Havent used it yet, but I will be this week. Ive read good things about it.

Out of the 5 reels listed, my #1 would be the TT Pro. I know its not listed there, but the new Shimano Curado I falls within the retail price point, and it's a great reel.

All of the reels on your list are based on the same internal design.   The Lews Tournament MG is a magnetic brake only reel, and the Revo STX uses a different spool design called Infini II, which is a disengaging two piece spool design.  There may be some material differences with handles some using carbon fiber -vs- aluminum, and gears duralumin -vs- brass, but the internal workings are largely the same.

 

While I do think the dual braking reels offer and advantage over magnetic only I would just pick the one that worked in my price range and ergonomically felt the best and start fishing.

I have the Lewis BB1 a pflueger patriarch and a johnny Morris sig. if you like control the johnny Morris is very nice I even have a shimano chronarch E6 but when it comes to worry free fishing, because of the dual braking I love my johnny

None of those, Curado or Tatula.

ive got a johnny  morris and the tournament mg i actually just sold the mg cus i just could not dial it in for finesse fishing so im using that money to invest in a different reel, once i got the JM reel tuned in man that thing casts like nobodies business lol also check out the pflueger summit a little hard to find but in the range i have one on my St Croix LTB and its an awesome setup!

All of the reels you have listed are built on the same platform using the same tooling. Pick one with the features that are most important to you and shop for a deal.

Get any of those you want.  They are the same reel.   As others have suggested I would just get a new Shimano Curado, or at least a Chronarch E.   With regular care, either will be running tightly after the Chinese/Korean reels you mentioned are in the junkyard heap dead reel box.

Long or longer than that shimano.. I'm not a Lews fanatic I have a curado and Chronarch.. But the best real I own is that Lews tp.

So out of the list or 6 you have I would go with the Lews tp... The Lews tourney is also a good real and can be found for around 100
