Jim Mac Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 Are the Nucanoes the only kayaks with square "motor-ready" transoms? If not, what other kayaks are there? Thanks. Quote
Hanover_Yakker Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 The Wilderness Systems Commander 120 and 140 are candidates to consider. Quote
Jim Mac Posted April 25, 2014 Author Posted April 25, 2014 Thanks for responding. I tried the Commander, but I hated the floor. Quote
Hanover_Yakker Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 You might also look into KC Kayaks, Diablo Paddlesports, possibly a couple of the newer Jackson molds like the Big Rig, Big Tuna and Cuda 14, then the Hobie Pro Anglers. Quote
basshead1 Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 The new Ascend 128 sit on top with the swivel seat does not have a transom but the side works well as one. I do not have one but I am taking it into consideration on my next kayak purchase. The price is right. Quote
Mike2841 Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 The ocean kayak torque comes with a trolling motor. One of the guys I work with has one and likes it a lot. Quote
Jim Mac Posted April 28, 2014 Author Posted April 28, 2014 Thanks. I'm not interested in kayaks with the motor underneath like that, or mounting it on the side. Quote
MidTNKayakAngler Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Nucanoe has a flat back, Bass Yaks makes conversion kits for almost any kayak. Torqueedo is very easy to mount to almost any kayak. Quote
