I'm looking to reverse rig some soft plastic baits and pitch them to cover, such as docks, and have them glide back into the unaccessible regions of the cover.  What baits work well for this?  I love the way a unweighted tube glides but I can't reverse rig a tube because it's hollow and open at the rear.  I know Jackal has some soft plastic made for this presentation but I'd like to hear what you guys are using.

Anyone have any theories as to what properties of a bait made for a good gliding action?

Havoc has a new stick type bait that does what you're looking for. I think it's called the Back Slide.

Fat ika, kinami palm tree and damiki hydra. They're pretty much filled in tubes

These are the best baits to utilize this technique with! Also keitech has a solid tube as well that works great for this application.

Senko Texas rigged weightless, that technique sold me on Senkos.

fat ika.

I tried to like the dockapede but it is not for me- may be worth taking a look at though.

Berkley has the backslide that is designed for this, also a nail weight in the back of a Yum Dinger or other Senko style bait will do the trick.

Wacky rigged senko with a drywall nail stuck in it is awesome for this. Itll stand straight up and shake it right in their face

Make sure to rig the fat ika BACKWARDS to get the correct fall. Berkeley havoc backslide and a senko with a nail weight in the end, as stated.

Skip a wacky senko under those docks!
