When I fish, I like to pack light and fast because I tend to cover a large area on foot. With the "no flexible measuring tape" rule, finding room for a ruler was tough. Then I found this! Its a clear vinyl decal that you can adhere to your pole and you don't waste valuable space or have to scramble to find your measuring tape. Thoughts?

she was right around my personal best 6lb 7oz   --  i took a quick weight, once i realized she was not gonna hit a new mark of 7+ i got her back in swimming. I tried to get her back as quick as possible.   I really thought she was gonna get me the elusive 7+  i am searching for.

please also add this one for today 18+ish inch, i hit another nice fat one at 6 lb 2 oz  21 inch but the pic is all messed up.  it did not come out visible at all.

Well no fishing for me this month and maybe longer. I messed my shoulder up at work and of course it is my casting arm and everything else I do for that matter. Not sure if it is torn rotator cuff or what. (Workers comp) So until it is better I will be cheering for you guys to get the big girls. It is killing me to know you guys are getting some nice fish.

Ok enough of my wining.

That is rouuugh! I'm sorry to hear that.  Hopefully we can keep you entertained with a constant flow of stocky bass.  Hope you recover quickly and can get back out on the water!

bass 1

bass 2

Hoping to replace both of these, but I figured I should at least get my name on the scoreboard.  One of them was 16in and the other 14in.  Hope some other people found a way to get out before Mamma's day.

It was an amazing day in May today. An absolutely magical day. The big bass were biting real well today. It was overcast and misting when I arrived at the boat launch at 8 am. The water temperature was 55. I went directly to the spot I did so well at last week. They were still there and they were hungry. I was able to cull 4 of my fish today. The jig bite was on.

It was one of the best day of fishing I have had in a long time. It is unfortunate that the 23 inch 7-0 was super super skinny. The five biggest bass for the day weighed in at 30 lbs 6 oz, the second biggest one day bag I have had. The morning bite was better but I caught fish all day mostly on a jig and a couple on a crankbait. I caught 22 largemouth today, 1 7lber, 1 6lber, 4 5 lbers, 2 4 lbers, and 1 3 lber. I also caught 3 smallmouth the biggest being  about 2.5 lbs. It was a crazy amazing day of fishing. I will be going back there the next two days. I am taking my mom there tomorrow, hopefully I can put her on a 5 lber.
