Should I be contecting my fish finders to my cranking battery or to my trolling motor batteries?

Tight lines,

I have mine hooked to my cranking. I want nothing but the tm to draw power from the tm batteries. Just how I do it.

Always the cranking.  Besides you want the most battery for your trolling motor, the #1 cause for interference for graphs is trolling motor interference.  And you guessed it, using the same battery is the #1 cause of that!

I have a separate accessory battery for my fish finders.

X2, I have an optima bluetop for my TM, yellowtop for my Fish Finders, redtop for cranking. I am guilty of using my redtop for my intermittent accesories like running lights and interior lights, but I hardly ever use my gas engine living in NJ with all the HP restrictions and electric only lakes.

I have an older outboard and for some reason it takes a very strong battery to crank it over. Its been like this since I bought it five years ago. AGM's are a must.

So I do not plug anything else into the cranker. But I would if I could.

So you guys don't worry about your electronics draining your crank battery throughout the day? Even with 2 fish finders running all day?
