I'm taking my family to the Dillard House in Georgia in June and wanted to do a little fishing while up there. I guess they have a trout pond on the property but, I'm looking to find some other areas to try. Anyone have a suggestion?

Hey, I grew up about 15 minutes away in NC.  I went to school right across the road from the Dillard house...  What species are you looking to target?  There's plenty of mountain trout fishing to be done.  As far as any lake fishing there is some to be done although it will require a short drive and bank access may be limited.

I'm sure it sounds odd, me living in Florida but, I've only ever fished freshwater (bass, bluegill and catfish). River trout sounds like it would be fun. What do they usually bite on? I've been checking maps and there appear to be a couple rivers of some sort in the area I'm going to (Little Tennessee, Betty Creek).

flies, crickets, nightcrawlers, smaller baits....

tons of fun.  google some trout fishing areas near dillard and you'll have an abundance of areas to look at.  one of the best/most scenic areas is along the cullasaja river between franklin and highlands, nc (it's in NC but only 15 mins from Dillard, GA)
