Are they worth the price because $20.00 seems pricey for a crank bait...

The only way I'll ever own a LC bait is if some BR member sends me one...hint, hint

I absolutely love Lucky Craft baits.  I fish Lucky Craft crankbaits, jerkbaits, and topwater baits and absolutely love them.  With that being said, two of the crankbaits I recently purchased lost a lot of paint after only using them on one outing. I wasn't too thrilled about that after paying $18 a bait but they simply catch fish so I can't complain.

BPS will usually put them on sale during the Classic.

You could argue if they are worth the money or not, but I find great value in the old RC 1.5s and the pointers

Whether its worth it or not is always going to be up to you. Some guys shell out $ for megabass lures and other guys are just fine buying strike king. I personally fall in the middle of that spectrum, usually spending 7-10 for most of my cranks but I do have a few $15 jackal ASKAs. I'm willing to spend a little more to get a bait that has quality hooks that don't need to be replaced out of the package, good paint schemes, and most importantly good consistent action with minimal tuning. I don't fish LCs so I can't help you with a direct review but I know they have a wide variety of cranks. Some companies out there have cranks that are very similar to LC though, one bait that comes to mind is the crush 50X square bill. One thing to keep in mind is that to properly fish a crankbait you have to throw into cover and bounce it off some nasty stuff and if your afraid of losing your lure its not going to work. If you do buy some expensive baits you have to be prepared to lose a few.

Here we go ..... again.

If you don't like it, don't comment. Not only is it rude, it gives a bad impression of the board to a new user. It's not like he posted a banjo minnow or something against the rules.

100% worth it, even more so if you start getting into their jerkbaits. I need to just save this next part so I don't have to go through it every time, but here we go. I'm assuming you probably fish soft plastics occasionally, correct? So lets say the plastics you're using are $5 for 10, pretty average price. If you fish very much at all it's very easy to go through 4 bags of those baits a year, or $20. Now you have to buy 4 more next year and when the bait monkey climbs on your back those 4 bags turn into 10, which turns into 20, then 50. Meanwhile, that handful of Lucky Crafts you bought that ran you 15-20 dollars each will continue to be effective and catch fish, year after year (provided you don't lose or break them).

I have Pointers that have almost no paint left on them and have endured multiple hook changes and caught hundreds and probably thousands of fish, all on the same bait. If you broke it down to a cost per fish ratio, those fish are costing me pennies versus $.50 apiece since a lot of plastics are done after 1 or 2 fish anymore.

Not saying there aren't cheaper options that work because there are and I use lots of them. They are very effective baits that have proven themselves to me and many others to be good quality baits and great fish catchers and for that reason I feel they're very much worth the price.

Well that kinda says it right there.

For what it's worth, Rogers Lures in Liberty, MO has a half price sale going on right now on Lucky Craft baits.  Given that the sale has been going on for over a week, they still have a decent selection of baits.  They don't have any more Pointers 100 SP in Table Rock Shad though, I got the last 3 of them.

They have an internet presence as well, so check them out and you might find some bargains.  They are currently running Timber Tigers on sale at half price also.  I restocked and got another couple of dozen in the DC8, DC13 & DC16 sizes.

For many of the same reasons already mentioned, I find the LC baits to be worth it.   The 1.5 series crankbaits are fish catching machines, as are the pointers.  The LC baits have a good finish, and most of all suspend, fish and run true.     If you just purchase 1 or 2 a  month, you will soon have a good assortment.

Although I think the LC lures are worth every penny, I'm not sure I have

actually bought one that was not on sale.I would rate them this way: Sammys

are 1st in class; Pointers are just a smigin behind Megabass Vision 110 and

the LC series is OUTSTANDING!

A black sharpie cures most of my paint issues for any hard bait

Love me some lucky craft!

Pointers, sammy, and. Lipless cranks!

I find some of their stuff to be, at best, average in performance but excellent in durability and have quality hardware.  $15-$20 is worth it if you value durability and quality split rings/hooks.  I'm more of a performance orientated guy so I gravitate towards balsa Rapalas even if they break easily and have cheaper VMC hooks.

Depends on the specific bait? Personally I have at least 100 LC baits and find they are worth every penny. I have never had to tune or modify one to get it to run correctly. Some of the cranks are average but the RC 1.5 is the best crankbait I have ever used and I have some that are not only missing bait but they have started to wear into the plastic. The Pointer series is my favorite jerkbait and the gunnish or Sammy have caught hundreds of fish for me in the last 10 years. Get yourself a good lure retriever and don't worry about the cost as they will be a lot harder to lose. Honestly I have only lost 4 high end baits in the past 10 years which is about the cost of gas to go and fish the Lower Potomac so I don't even think about what they cost anymore. Senkos and Chigger craws start to get expensive when you add up the cost of how many you go through in a season.

Im more of a Jackall guy but I have to admit, LC Pointers catch more fish for me. The action is more erratic even thought they look almost the same and are designed by the same guy.
