midnighthrasher Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Anyone using these? I have read good things. Thanks Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted March 5, 2011 Super User Posted March 5, 2011 Love the spin jig for spots and smallies. The casting jig is nice, too. Quote
Primus Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Awesome jigs, I use the casting jig & football jigs with the smaller hook I put smaller trailers and use as a finesse jig. Quote
Pantera61 Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 The hooks have a tendency to bend under stress. Quote
Primus Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 They are not the kind of jig designed for heavy rods/ braid etc. I throw mine with 8 or 10 lb Floro on a small Curado 101D reel on a Loomis BCR 852 rod , never had a problem sticking fish, hooks bending or bringing them to the boat. It's has a light weedguard and I use this as a casting jig and it's done very well for me. It also has quality hand tied skirts and a compact tungsten head. Quote
JacobK Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 they're nice jigs! i fish the casting one in 3/8 & 1//2 oz sizes. quite convenient when you need a heavy weight but small profile. Quote
Pantera61 Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 The hooks have a tendency to bend under stress. I'll clarify my comment: The hooks on the tiny jigs, 1/32 oz and 1/16 size have twisted under pressure. The heavier jigs had no problem. Quote
