j2dh Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Canals where I live are full of these fish. Does anyone else catch them? I've only caught a few ... Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted April 22, 2014 Super User Posted April 22, 2014 I've only caught a few myself, small jigs or in line spinners have worked. Quote
0119 Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Little tiny green chenille wooley buggers when they are sub surface and dry flies like a Cahill when they are grouped up at dawn vacuuming the surface. Good fighters but stinky and they deal up the boat something fierce. It amazes me folks eat them. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted April 27, 2014 Global Moderator Posted April 27, 2014 Tiny jigs are about the only thing I've ever got them to bite. Heck of a fight on light tackle. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted May 5, 2014 Super User Posted May 5, 2014 I caught one yesterday on a crappie jig, first one in years. Quote
