Florida now let's you upgrade to a "credit card" style (hard plastic) license for an additional $4.00.  Sure beats the thermal printed one I got last year that had faded beyong readability in under a month.

That's always been available for the 5 year license.  I'm on my second one now.

Coincidently, I just renewed my license and I saw the availability of the hard card. Do any of you know for future reference, if they offer the fresh/salt water combo for 5 yrs. I only see fresh and salt individually for five years. Thanks

I believe they do. When I got mine, fresh and saltwater, she asked if I wanted 1 yr or 5 yr which comes with the hard card. The waterproof receipt for the 1 yr begins to fade and can scratch off easily after only a few months of having it.

I am sorry, I mis-communicated. Has anyone seen that option on-line?

Nope, I searched for it for an hour and can't find it.

I got a new 5 yr salt and freshwater license back in November.  I did it on line and the license is that credit card style.  I don't remember choosing plastic over paper.

You got them as the combo or individually on-line for 5 yrs?

I also print up several copies from the online site and put them in ziploc bags in each of my tackle boxes and bags as well as my truck just in case I need to produce one in a hurry....

I received my credit card style permit yesterday. I would love to have the 5yr card with both salt and freshwater. Next year, maybe I will call FWC directly.

I also do several copies of my permit. I also carry a photocopy of my fishing license and driver's together in a zip lock bag. That way if I am fishing around my neighborhood I don't need to be walking around with my wallet and $$.
