So I scored a 7' med. Casting Falcon Bucoo micro for $30 yesterday, my question is for the people who own one. What does it do well? It seems to have a pretty slow action so I'm thinking cranks, poppers and jerk baits . what do u guys think?

I have a similar rod that I use for casting Rattle Trap type baits.

It should say on the rod what action it is. I'm pretty sure it'll be a mod/fast action. Today it was my most used rod. I have 2 of the same model and one gets trap duty and the other square bills.

If that's the rod I'm thinking of, it says the very unstable, "medium action," with no real action listed.   I have that rod and I use it for small cranks, shad raps, jerkbaits and some top waters.  I do like the rod for these techniques.

I have that exact same rod and I FINALLY found it's function --- cranks and hard jerk baits exclusively. I fish squarebills with it fantastically. Don't much like it for mids and deeps tough. Definately wouldn't use it for soft jerks like a fluke... probably won't get a good hook set. You, sir, scored yourself a great deal.
