BadBassWV Posted April 21, 2014 Author Posted April 21, 2014 I'm glad you guys liked it, It seems like I never heard much about square bills until KVD, I think won a tournament with one, then it seems like everybody had to have one....including me. LOL Quote
MemphisFF Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 My dad threw squarebills back in the 80's i remember his favorite one i got it in my tackle.. Quote
Crankinstein Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 A square bill crankbait was the first bass lure I ever got and for the first year I bass fished was just about the only thing I ever used. I use a variety of techniques now but cranking the shallows is still my favorite way to catch em. Quote
primetime Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 I need to get better with a squarebill, and by that I mean actually landing a better percentage of fish, and more specifically strikes. I usually go to a chatterbait or spinnerbait in the shallows if not a soft plastic, and if in water over 6', I start heading into DT 6-10 range, or thug range which I guess is kind of a squarebill. I throw alot of wake baits so I guess that counts. Never throw the same ones other guys use but have a ton of them in the box. Quote
