bassboy107 Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 Today I was fishing with a Carolina rig and was using fluoro as a leader. After bringing a fish in over rocks, the line became nicked and I was able to easily brake it. So my question is, what line do you use as your leader on a Carolina rig? Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted April 20, 2014 Super User Posted April 20, 2014 10lb Seaguar Redlabel fluoro. Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted April 20, 2014 Super User Posted April 20, 2014 I use 15-17lb mono for my leader line. Quote

flyingmonkie Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 I use 15-17lb mono for my leader line. x2 Quote
Smallmouth Hunter Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 15 lb big game mono which is actually much higher in strength.. Big game is rated much lower than the actual breaking strength. Quote
Super User bigbill Posted April 20, 2014 Super User Posted April 20, 2014 Since I'm fishing in 10' and less depth my c rig leaders are red Cajun line like 14# with 17# for the mainline. Quote
michang5 Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 10lb Seaguar Redlabel fluoro. x2. My main line is 12# RL fluoro. Quote
The Fisher Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 I like mono so it floats off the bottom. Quote
