Super User Crestliner2008 Posted March 5, 2011 Super User Posted March 5, 2011 Got a discussion going at a fishermen's get together last week. No one really could come up with an answer to the +/- of each of the above crankbait bills. Are they equal with regards to deflection qualities? Or is one better than the other? And in what situations? Thanks for you input guys. Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted March 5, 2011 Super User Posted March 5, 2011 They both come through cover well, the square bill has the tendency to "stick" and give more of a pronounced deflection when it climbs over an obstacle. The coffin bill kind of subtle deflects it way through,at least that's my experience with them. Some guys I know like coffin bills on tight wiggling baits and use them in cold water in place of a fatter wider wobbling square bill. Quote
