finally figured out where the bigger fish are at holiday. it's frustrating when your catching between 20-25 pounds and you're not even close to a check. wednesday niight i went out and had 25 pounds from 4-7. went back yesterday from 1-7 in a completely different area with the same pattern and had 32 pounds. went back this morning at sun up and had 31 pounds by 11:30. i think its safe to say i'll be fishing the open tourny out there next sunday. holiday is on fire!

Hey Bruce. I saw the pics with you and BLM. Sweet!

I'm done fishing holiday until the tourney...my last 5 trips out there have all been over 30lbs. Something tells me I'll be seeing you on the water next Sunday!

yes you will mike. anyone can catch 30 pounds during the week. just gotta make it happen on tourny day. i told mike not to post those pics until after the tourny, but he loves the attention lol. i'm just hoping that we can catch a big sack on sunday and stay close to you and leo

Yeah, always tougher to do it on Sunday. If we are not on the same spot, its likely that we will both still have a lot of company. Not a lot of secrets out there in that KOTG crowd. Just gotta make the right moves at the right time on tourney day. Good luck, Sunday!

I really need to get on some of those better stretches of fish. Need to jump up to that magic 30 pound range. Just need to spend some time on the water more out there. I was getting a ton of short bites a couple of days ago. Had to switch to a much smaller lure to get some good solid hookups. Once I did that it was game on. Who knows how many better quality fish I missed before I changed it up.

I'm not sure what pattern you guys are on, but you need to do some sharing after that tournament. :P

Tournament guys share really nice pics but the types of baits they use they keep close to the heart. I had this conversation with a buddy of mine this morning. When it comes down to competition time where big catches = $$  Bait sharing I have noticed is silence..... I get it though. Good luck to whomever his competing next Sunday.

You shouldn't have downsized, you should have super sized it.

No worries Lou. I've got a good idea of what Bruce and Mike are tossing out there.

Noted, Bruce. I just wanted to land something. Probably burned through a pack and a half of plastics getting the pinchers ripped off.

Im gonna fish the open on Sunday and skip the KOTG next week...  I havent been to the lake in 2 months and don't have time to look for fish up there this week..  Good luck to those on Sunday, Im guessing 32+ to cash.

I'm not sure if it's just a coincidence, but man have I seen a lot of bass boats in my area today. I live about 10-15 minutes away from Holiday. Hope you guys do good this weekend out there. With the bags you've been on Mike, you've got a shot to do really well.
