Hey there everybody. I'm not specifically new into fishing, as I have been fishing with my grandpa since I was in single digits (I'm a young 22 right now).

Although I stated I'm not new - that does not mean I know what I'm doing; by all means I have no idea.

I've had the occasional largemouth bass, though the largest I've ever caught was around 4 pounds and it was caught on half of a bluegill with a fellow fish on a seperate hook, same bait.

I've caught my share of bluegill, as I'm sure just about everybody has, and I've caught my share of channel cats (though the largest only being 3 pounds 12 oz)

Largest fish I've caught has been a 14.1 pound common carp, measuring in at 30.3 inches, and that's all freshwater. I've taken a mass charter (davey's locker) twice; the first time not ending up very well, the second time catching a 4.5 pound red snapper and a 7.8 pound salmon grouper.

I'll probably be asking for plenty of tips, and I just bought my first microspin combo, and have no idea how to fish them.

Name's chris!

Thanks everybody for their warm welcomes. As I said I just got a microspin, and I went to walmart today to buy some senko's and some 3/0 hooks so I'll try throwing them wacky or texas rigged next time I have a clear day out here to see how the fish react.
