Never used it or any line conditioner for that matter. This year I will be using KVD's though. Everything I've read on here, the concerns us is that KVD's is hands down the best compared to any lone conditioner and its not really even close.

I've used both and feel that the KVD version works better for me.

I've used both as well....KVD seems to be a better conditioner. But I have found Reel Magic to be a great cleaner for the guides of my rods, seems to bring them back to nice shiny black. :)

Anyone know how Reel Magic works?

If you do, you'll stop using it pretty quickly.

Turns mono into mush. I prefer L&L.

i use it on my spinning rod during stripper season, so i guess this is why my green big game 30lb mono looks clear after a few days of fishing?

Reel Magic is nothing more than a silicone spray. It is not absorbed and washes off

after one cast.

Yes I put it on my rod eyes and spool for smoother longer casts with my copolymer line. I don't use it on the spool when the line is new. I put a tad on the eyes. As the line get older I put it on the spool to extend the life of the line.

I carry a mini scaled down carpenters tool box I made to carry an assortment of scents and reel magic. My surgical extra long is in this scent box too.

Ever wonder why your line is so limp after spraying it with Reel Magic?

Reel Magic is a petroleum based product. It's because it strips the outermost layer from your line, making it limp. Eventually, as J said, you either get mush or you get a line that is dangerously brittle. I use the term "dangerously" because the baits I'm throwing ain't cheap nor are they light. One wrong move and an expensive bait is going flying, never to return.

Line and Lure uses water to deliver its fomula onto the line. As the water evaporates, it leaves the actualy conditioner on the line.

Petrol products and line is no bueno.

I've used Real Magic for a long time. I've never had any issues with it. It's basically a silicone spray that will coat your line and protect it from sun damage and will also help it flow through guides easier.

I'd love to have the KVD L&L but seem to have a very hard time finding it....can someone tell me where it's hidden?? I won't order it from BPS because the shipping is just stupid.....and I don;t want anything else they have...

Save your money and buy a good product like KVD L & L  cond. Reel Magic is junk!

Real Magic is the reel technician best friend as it will breakdown lubricants and cause unneeded reel repairs! Don't use this product!

I use TangleFree liquid on my FC and mono line, doesn't affect the lubricants or weaken the line, good product.

I use it on braid. It slows the fading process.
