I recently came into possession of a keel guard for free. The previous owner bought this new 5 years ago but never installed. Guard is in its original packaging unopened. My question is do you foresee any problems with the integrity of the adhesive after sitting for so long? Any input is appreciated.

Shouldn't be a problem.

Make sure your engine doesn't have any stipulations on voiding warranty with any additions to the engine.

If applicable.

I would contact Megaware KeelGuard, Inc. at (800) 292-9835 with your questions, they are very supportive folks.

Someone on here had a problem with a keelguard last year and had great (I mean REALLY great) success with their customer service.

Yes, they and the folks at Beaching Bumpers are great people.  Give them a call and they'll talk with you and provide you with whatever help you need.
