moguy1973 Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 do they still have Brett Hull? If you count Hull being part of the front office then yes. He's one of the execs now. This is going to be a great series if the rest is like this first game. Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted April 18, 2014 Super User Posted April 18, 2014 Hockey and Soccer, probably the worst sports ever invented. Hockey is for wanna be figure skaters who can't dance and think they are tough. Soccer is for guys who have no other athletic ability aside from being able to run around for long periods and kick a ball far. The NFL uses those guys for extra points when the real athletes get off the field. I would rather watch a WNBA game as opposed to watching either one of those. Quote

Right, I'll watch your wimpy football players limp off the field with high ankle sprains while nhlers play through broken ribs, broken feet, and pierced lungs. Get a life dude and take your insecurities about manhood somewhere else, Just because your too big of a lard ass to do any of these sports. Your shirt called, it wants its sleeves back to cover your flabby arms and tiny bass. 1 Quote

Raider will make it all better for ya. LOLSeriously, pierced lungs? That's your retort? Football players play through bruised and broken ribs too. Never heard of someone skating with broken feet though. I guess those skates provide no protection, but amazing support. Come off it now. Also you find me the players who are playing through a punctered lung, and I'll mail you fifty bucks. Glad I'm wearing my boots cause your piling it deep. You must have the NHL confused with rugby. Its OK I forgive you. Little mealy mouthed worm. Less you wanna try an make it personal with me too. JBSooner may take your crap. However I assure you I won't. Prissy little fairy. How you gonna pop off like that? You ain't been here long enough to act that way. Manky little Nancy Boy. Quote

Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted April 18, 2014 Super User Posted April 18, 2014 http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=675328 I'll take that $50... What you can't read now? I said "players" not "player". There is an "s" on the end of that. Thusly making it plural. After all you speak about it as if its a common occurrence. Along those same lines I can say, NFL players play with cometely severed fingers. Just cause it happened once. Doesn't mean its a common occurrence. Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted April 18, 2014 Super User Posted April 18, 2014 Why not just apologize to the man for getting an attitude, and making it personal? Discord is fine. I don't agree with a lot of people on here. That don't mean you can just turn something personal like that. There honestly was no reason or excuse for that. Someone ain't agree with you. It happens. Disagree back and argue your point. Don't Go all out attack mode. I tell ya what. Let's start over. I apologize for jumping in on my buddies behalf. Quote
MO_LMB Posted April 18, 2014 Author Posted April 18, 2014 No hard feelings, I just don't understand the need to bash certain sports. I'm just here cheering on a team and ol boy has to come in talkin trash on hockey. Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted April 18, 2014 Super User Posted April 18, 2014 All this talk about Nancy Boys, Manhood Questioning, and Sleeveless Shirts ~ it's all quite entertaining That Hawks / Blues tilt last night was pretty intense. Won't matter who wins the series if there isn't anyone left standing to play the next one. A-Jay 1 Quote

I'm just here cheering on a team and ol boy has to come in talkin trash on hockey. I feel ya. I've never understood that either. Best to just ignore it when someone does. I mean hell I'm a Raiders fan. Everyone hates on us. Plus the whole soccer thing. Every dang body has to hate on soccer. Its actually quite dumb to be honest. Every sport requires different skills and muscle usage. Hockey is not big at all in the South. Probably our lack of ice. I still enjoy watching it though. Those are some tough men. Me, I wouldn't fare well playing it. That or lacrosse. Soon as I get smacked with a stick the gloves are coming off. Best of luck to your Blues. Mine are In the Semis of the Champions League right now. Basically its the European Soccer version of the Superbowl. In case you don't follow soccer. Quote

tipptruck1 Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Raider there are 30 teams in the NHL. 1/3 of the teams are south of the old Mason Dixon line. There are even two teams in Florida. One team in Arizona, Texas, and California. As a life long hockey fan. I think it is wrong seeing teams were they don't see ice. But the southern teams have a huge fan base. Among local and regional fans. That is why the NHL wants more warm weather teams. Last nights hawks blues game was good though. I don't have a team in that series. So I am not puling for any body.
