JasonRE Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 I am looking for videos or images on how to feed the line, once on the reel, up through the eyelets. I've seen open the bale, and feed the line through the eylets. BUT, there is the little metal piece on one side of the bale that has a guide on it, like a roller. Do I feed the line onto there first? I tried it last weekend and got my line all entangled inside the spinner portion and under the reel. A video would be GREAT! Thanks! Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Either open the bail, thread the line and then close it, or rotate the bail until the roller is on top, thread the line under the roller then thru the guides. Either way result is the same. Question; how did you spool the line onto the reel without being able to thread the rod? 1 Quote
JasonRE Posted April 17, 2014 Author Posted April 17, 2014 I actually bought the rod with line on the reel already done. THANK GOD lol Not lazy, just ignorant Thanks for the help Delaware! Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted April 17, 2014 Super User Posted April 17, 2014 Open the bail and run your line through rod guides only and then close the bail. You'll be good to go. Quote
