RF813 Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 I have been using Gamakatsu offset shank with the round bend for a little while now. But I've been seeing a very similar hook with an O'shaunessy bend. They're so similar, the only difference seems to be a slight angle at the bottom. What's the benefit of one over the other? Quote
Alpha Male Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 That slight bend is the difference. Benefits??? you got me. Quote
TrippyJai Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 The round bends have a slightly wider gap for bigger plastics. Pretty much it. Quote
Kevin22 Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 I hate o'shaughnessy hooks. I'll take a round bend or sickle any day. Quote
War Eagle 44 Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 I use more off set round bend hooks but the O'Shaunessy really works well used with curly tail worms and trick worms. It hooks and holds fish great when used with slimmer plastics. I'm really not sure why but it seems to hook fish easier to me than any other style on those plastics. Quote
