WestonFLBassFishing Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 I recently began having a problem with my reel. It seems as if the bail isn't high enough to be opened over the reel. Considering it is the first time this happens to me, I really need your tips. Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 I'm having trouble visualizing your issue. Any chance the reel got stepped on or otherwise damaged? Quote
WestonFLBassFishing Posted April 16, 2014 Author Posted April 16, 2014 No it doesn't allow me to retract the bail so I can't cast when I bring the bail back instead of going over the reel like its suppose to it crashes with the reel halfway Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted April 16, 2014 Super User Posted April 16, 2014 If you are under warranty send it back to the manufacture. I had that same problem and Quantum just replaced the reel. Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 If it's under warranty, return it as suggested. If not, let me know the model and I'll let you know if it's worth sending in for repair. Quote
Super User bigbill Posted April 17, 2014 Super User Posted April 17, 2014 Without seeing it, I'm guessing as said about your bail has been squeezed on. So it wider now rather than higher to fit over the spool. Look at it from the front to see if the roundness of the bail is equally spaced to the roundness of the spool body? Quote
