I came across this term reading a blog and the author didn't go into detail. The context was, when targeting suspended bass angler will stroke a Texas rig. What is meant by the term stroke?

Rip the rig aggressively off of the bottom with your rod and let it fall. Wait X seconds. repeat.

Me neither. I don't want to be his Co-Angler when he decides he is going to stroke the Texas rig.   :)
