kLuo Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 I tried doing a search but really couldn't find much info on this topic. What colors work effectively for you guys? I fish a lot of water that has blueback herring in it, but the Sebile blueback herring color does not look very realistic. I have heard good things about the white lady color. So what colors work best for you? And I'm assuming size 125 is a good size? Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted February 28, 2011 Super User Posted February 28, 2011 I don't think the bass care how realistic the color is , put it where the bass are and they'll eat it. Quote
Ima Bass Ninja Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 This is the one i have .. I don't use it as often as i should but it has produced for me. I also fish a lake with BB herring and the only thing about this lure is the stripers love it too!! I believe the color is called Holo grennie?? http://images.cabelas.com/is/image/cabelas/s7_122653_080_01?rgn=0,0,2000,748&scl=5.2631578947368425&fmt=jpeg&id=0another siteDI7udsufaquhLJXTqy Quote

baluga Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 I go by the usual, murky water I either go with dark pattern or white . Clear water natural color like natural shiner, Hickory shad and Halo Green. As for size, it's also match the hatch and how deep I want it to dive. 110 Fast sink for deeper water and 125 Slow sink when they are active and also for shallow water. I love to use the 95 sinking when the bite is tough. But that's just me it all depends on the water you are fishing. Vary your retrieve, try to find out the speed they like. Quote
philsoreel Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 3-6 lbers were hammering my 125 in Golden Shiner yesterday. It's a nice size (3/4oz) that doesn't require a "swimbait" rod. The 95 White Lady is a good producer for me to. The spawn is on where I'm located. Wish I still had my 125 in Largemouth Bass. It would probably be a real killler. Quote
