RW, how much of your success with this lure do you attribute to the color? Are they worth considering in other colors?

I honestly don't know. I only have one and I like

green, so that's how I ended up with this particular

lure.

Besides, Tonosama Frog pattern is simply beautiful, so is CMF ( Cracked Matte Frog ).

River2Sea makes a decent knock off for $8, called the Bubble Pop. I have two, they are superb poppers. Never pulled the trigger on the Megabass version.

The best expensive lure I ever bought was a Charlie-O

Find one in really nice shape and they go for over $40 a pop.

I bought this one for $25 and have caught the SNOT out of bass on it.  Very unique action.  If you like your fat cranks to act more like a lipless crank, this is the one.

Consider this: You probably won't lose a topwater

lure. So, even at $28, you will have this lure for a

very long time. I don't remember exactly when I

bought mine, but it was at least 5 years ago.

You're right, I hadn't considered "toothy critters".

This fish was was caught on a discontinued JDM crankbait, on 8# CXX, using an Avid AVC70MM. To think I was lucky to get it back is a HUGE understatement.

Now John that is a nice looking Mr.Tooth.....

Everyone has their own favorites. If a $30.00 lure works for you and you have confidence in it, that's what should matter to you. I've never used one and probably never will. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. (especially at 3 times the price)
