How many fish have I caught this year? Several? A lot?

The only sincere answer Is this: I have caught aplenty, some small, small big. I love to catch fish and of course that's the goal of every trip but to count would be a time waster to me. In reality the only fish that really matters so far this year Is my wife's personal best. Now that Is "ONE" fish I will remember the rest of my life.

I know the above sounds a little snotty but I assure you It's not meant In that way. I simply don't care about numbers but In a special few Instances.

Just caught 3 tonight and wasn't even fishing for them, was going for bullhead and then reeled in a 5lber.

The last couple days I've squeezed in an hour of fishing each. I caught 6 and missed one each day. The fish are all small, the water is like thin chocolate milk, it's cold and windy. I felt fortunate catching the ones I have. Gotta love a gold bladed ,Colorado blade on a chartreuse spinnerbait in those conditions. Good luck , everyone.

I've got about 75 bass already. I think that's pretty d**n good considering where I live and the fact that its only been about 4-5 weeks since thaw and I work full time.

I caught over 400 the past 10 days! I'm probably pushing 1000 with my biggest being 10.2

None yet but found them shallow today for the first time of this season.  Just a matter of finding the presentation they want now.  No luck on various cranks or small inline spinners, at least checked out the drop shot worms but didn't seem all that aggressive.

Im up in the 30 range probably, which is a whole lot less than a lot of you guys, but Im happy with it. Its alot better than I did this time last year. I just got back in a little bit ago from being at a local pond and caught two on a t-rigged baby brush hog and one on a fire tiger colored square A. That was the first fish I caught this year on a quarebill. Hopefully the crank bite will be heating up around me soon.

Around 30 in the last 4 days, but the thing is, I'm not even fishing for bass. Doing something wrong lol

edit: plus 8 more since I last posted.

And I'm off the schneid.  Thanks to these forums, I used a little trick I would not have known and it paid off.

I was using a 1/8 oz black buzzbait in my quarry.  I could see 8-14" fish in the shallows again, so it was simply figuring out what they wanted.  I felt a short strike and remembered to put a trailer on...I used a Berkeley Havoc 5" Purple Haze "The Jerk", and landed the first one 2 casts later.  I moved down a little deeper and tried again after no further success in the original spot, and cast parallel to the shore, caught the 2nd.  1st one was at least 20" but tape measure wasn't taut, could have been 21"....and the 2nd was 9".

I'm up to 32 bass as of tonight. The last one was over 21 inches. I'm still shaking from it. Biggest bass I have ever caught. Just changed my avatar to show the glorious beast. I need to buy a scale... This is going to be a good year.

Well, I don't know if this one counts... lol bth_jiji.gif

May 15th, I was using a plastic lizard and only managed to catch two Northern Pike on it. I have seen a large school of baby crappie hanging around the marina and wanted to see if any bass were near. Long story short, I had to wacky rig the lizard (because of the pike) and was burning/twitching it on the surface like a top water bait and this tiny largemouth bass came out of no where and attacked it. I managed to catch him, but didn't really hook him... lol

Fishing has been tough lately (at the marina). "Common Theme" I've seen is minnows / blue herrings in the shallows but no bass of any size anywhere... only a few large pike (which might be taking over), and with 5+ ft of visibility believe me I have looked!

How Many Fish Have You Caught So Far?

I topped '2000' today, but now I'm going to lose some time patching the hole in my seine net    :mad5:

I'm approaching the 100 mark. Conditions yesterday allowed me to catch 6 on a Pop-R. So far, all my fish have been small.

Here in South Florida we are now in low water conditions in the glades.  The bass are concentrated in the only deep water around, the man made canals and gator holes.   100 fish for a full day are the norm now.  I fish 6 days a week in a number of locations.  I have caught between 1500 and 2000 bass since January.  Keep your line wet and you will catch a bunch of fish.  This is one of the reasons I picked this place to call home. :eyebrows:  :respect-059:  :eyebrows:

By now 2500, at least.

I have no idea.  A few dozen anyways.  It's only been good for a couple weeks so far, so I'd say I am doing pretty good.  Been finding much bigger fish much more consistently so far this season so that's a plus.
