I wanna buy a new baitcaster

Abu garcia revo

Daiwa tatula

Pro qualifier

Posted

i have a tatula and pro qualifier and they are both great reels, i like my tatula slightly better. ive never used a revo so i cant say anything about them but my vote goes towards the tatula

I have a PQ and 2 revo STX's. I had a tatula for a couple of months and you can go wrong with any of them. but as far as feel goes, there is a reason the PQ is the cheapest.

I really like my Revo SX and STX.  I haven't tried a tatula.

I love my revo....and its their lowest offering. I have a gen 3 revo s and its fantastic. Its a work horse of a reel. Very smooth, I like the braking system alot, great all around gear ratio, and in my opinion for the money can not be beaten. I had a curado g and returned it for this reel and I couldnt be happier.

The PQ is a great value, the Revo is built on the same platform but more refined. The Tatula is a fine reel but Daiwa is typically a little higher priced when comparing apples to apples. Keep looking for deals on reel that retail for $100> and you almost can't go wrong.

I have 4 Tatulas and really like them. I got them for $103 each, so I feel like it is the best $100 reel I have ever used.

Tatula, I have 2 Revos and never use them. They are not bad reels or anything I just dont prefer them over my Daiwas. Never had a PQ but I hear for the price they are not bad. But ifyou can get the Tatula for 104 which shouldnt be hard then I would say it is the best of the 3 listed.

Really depends on what you want to spend. 3 good reels with a small jump up in price from one to the next. I haven't handled a tatula but they get a lot of good reviews. I like the pq a lot. I tried a revo s and just didn't like how it felt in my hand for some reason... I can't really give you a good reason, just what it felt like to me. May be because it's white and that's never really been my deal.

From that list, I only have experience on the PQ.  I like them.  Very solid reel.

People complain that Daiwa doesn't make decent reels in the lower price range.  I bought a Procaster 100HN on closeout for $30.  MSRP on this reel was $69.95.  I had it cleaned before using.  Seems like a nice solid reel to me.  Casts very well.  Plenty smooth for the money.  I have read a few comments on this forum about the Exceler.  Most were good.  I've no personal experience with it, but at that price I think it would be a good low cost option.  I do admit to being partial to Daiwas, but not to the point that I wouldn't use anything else.  I have...and use...at least 7 different brands.

The Tatulas are great reels, no doubt there. If you are looking to spend a little more, wait and get a new Curado I, Ive heard they are great! Also, if you want it right away, you should really consider a shimano Citica or Curado.

Tatula at only 100 dollars blows the competition out of the water. At that price it's like racing with a Ferrari at a soap box derby.

What's your price range? I'd look for something 7' MH

Buy any of those reels mentioned, quality wise, feature wise they are all pretty similar. If after numerous reels at this level, you desire to upgrade in quality, buy a Shimano.  JMO

X2  ohya has the Quantum Superlite (a $230 rod) for $125 in a 7' MH 1/2-1/12 oz. and the Tour Edition (a $200 rod) for $7 less.  I have both models in 6'10" HF and like them a lot.  Very nice rods.  I realize most people will scoff at me for saying that.

100 spending limit on rod something like abu garcia veritas

again rods are apples to apples. I love my veritas, but I also love my bps carbonlite rods. But at 79.99 the veritas is hard to beat in that price range. But abu rods are a little stiff for their rating IMO. My MH is stiffer that a normal MH but not quite a Heavy if that make sense

I have a Tatula that I think is a great reel in its price range, and I have 3 PQ's that i think are great in their range as well.  At my BPS the PQ's are $70 today, so check your local store.  That's a tough deal to beat.

*** has good rods at $100 but Hold the rod and make sure you like the handle. I can't use them because I hate the way the handle sits in my hand but the rod is pretty good for the price.  Duckett Ghost rods are also a great rod at $100 and the Denali Kovert are around $120 and they are very solid rods.

I just bought a daiwa t3 reel from tackle warehouse for $198... Cant beat that for a reel sold at bass pro for more than double the price. Its def a sweet reel. Also i limy daiwa my lexa100. Just wish daiwa provided spare spools.
