Is it worth swapping gold and silver chatterbaits blades for dull black ones? Brett Hite won't use anything but black blades.

Is there an advantage of using black blades in clear water on pressured lakes?

black would be better IMO in dark or dingy water, the more reflective ones should be better for clearer water situations, but these are only rules of thumb, nothing says black cant catch in clear water or silver in dirty...

I used a white and chartreuse with a silver blade in stained water a week ago and it worked fine.

I only did it because it was already tied on and didn't want to waste time hunting for another one.

Glad I did.

The black would seem more subtle to me. I imagine a swim jig appearance with more thump.
